Nuna Tengara or the Long Whiskers Catfish( Mystus gulio) is a common and popular fish because of its nutritional value and taste. In freshwater, adults occur mainly in larger water bodies (rivers and streams) with mud or clay substratum, and rarely found in smaller streams. Catfish is found in brackishwater systems with marginal vegetation in lakes and swamps with a mud substratum.

Because of its relatively high market value, it has become an attractive commodity of both large and small-scale aquaculture enterprises. The Crescent Bass or Tiger Bass, Terapon jarbua, is common species in the Indo-Pacific; it occasionally makes its way into the aquarium trade.
